Judge Rich was one of thirty lawyers and judges nominated to a vacant seat on the Georgia Court of Appeals. Superior Court Judge Michael Boggs was selected by Governor Nathan Deal to the post.

Judge Rich completes pilot project for new jury service system in Gwinnett County which allows jurors to fulfill the jury service by completing "one-day or one trial." The new jury selection process also is projected to save the county over $100,000.00 each year. Read the articles on the project here, here, and here.

Judge Rich attended the "Legal Issues in the Information Age" seminar held in Maine. The costs for the seminar were paid by the American Institute for Justice and a scholarship awarded by the State Justice Institute.

Judge Rich was asked to pray for the nation at the City of Lawrenceville Great Day of Prayer. Judge Rich dedicated the prayer to his father, Private First Class Ronald Rich, Sr. US Army (deceased).

Judge Rich spoke on a panel at the State Bar of Georgia entitled "Trial and Error" regarding cases before State Courts which might be subject to appeal.

Judge Rich is asked again to teach a class on client interviewing to night law students at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta.
